The “Cortez”

In July of 1519 Hernan Cortez burned his ships to ensure his greatly outnumbered forces would be able to conquer the Aztec Empire. There could be no retreat. Cortez’ forces would either defeat the Aztecs or die. With the ships sunk, retreat or desertion was no longer an option for his small fleet of conquistadores.

Historians say that this bold move by Cortez is one of the main reasons Cortez was able to conquer the mighty Aztecs.

The same idea can be applied to apply maximum leverage in your interactions with women: I am going to show you how to pull “The Cortez”.

There are a couple ways I like to employ “The Cortez”. The first way is when you are in a solid interaction with an actual Logistical Candidate for a Same Night Lay (if you are curious how to discover a woman is a viable candidate for Same Night Lay, get your FREE copy of “The Charming Rogue™ Presents: The Logistics of Same Night Lays“ HERE) have your wing come up and say he has to leave for some “emergency” (perhaps that emergency can actually be that he is pulling a SNL!) and then have him leave the club.

Now you are “stuck” and have no way to get home and so SHE is going to have to give you a ride (or you’re going to have to go to her place OR in my case here in Vegas, I’m going to have to stay in her hotel room that night) because your friend just left you there and he was your ride. This “forces her hand” and makes it that much easier for her to do exactly what she wants to do anyway but now with added “plausible deniability” (“I am just giving him a ride home!”).

When I think it is time to “burn the ships”, I will text my wing, “Time for you to pull the cortez!” and he will know that it is his cue to apply this maneuver (also, it’s time for him to grab his girl and take her home!)

Another application of “The Cortez” is one I like to do when I am going out solo. I live about 20 minutes away from The Strip in Las Vegas. Often times I will apply “The Cortez” by having a friend drop me off on the strip for the night. Since I left my car at home and therefore have no ride home (and don’t want to pay the $100+ cab fare back home) I apply the added pressure I sometimes need to give me the fire to pull a girl home that night.

Now, I absolutely must pull a girl home! Other wise I have no ride back!

Give “The Cortez” a try. You will find that just like Hernan Cortez did to his conquistadores in Mexico, this tactic will give you just enough pressure to ensure you have the drive to really make an SNL happen!
